Line study
Working with the line as a conceptual guide.
This series is a continuation of the Distracted Drawings series.
Any line can be seen as a boundary and a path at once. This binary aspect forces us to question and reconsider the usual and instinctive categorization that happens involuntarily in any interaction we undertake with our immediate environment.
The line per se and the route it follows are becoming increasingly contingent on the material it is made of. Separating surfaces, shaping maps and creatures, enlacing the wooden frame that presents it, and going further beyond the contours of the paper that wants to contain it, the line shows off its independent characteristics.
