Line study

Working with the line as a conceptual guide, a series of drawing and collage studies started piling up. Since a line can be seen as a boundary and as a path at once, its binary aspect forces to question and reconsider the usual and instinctive categorization that happens involuntarily in any interaction we undertake with our immediate environment.
The line per se and the route it follows are becoming increasingly contingent on the material it is made of. Separating surfaces, shaping maps and creatures, enlacing the wooden frame that presents it and going further beyond the contours of the paper that wants to contain it, the line shows off its independent characteristics.
