Remembering Ithaka

Referring to Cavafy’s poem “Ithaca”, I kept track of car travels I made for the past two years. By taking pictures of the contemporary highways, one can notice a fine line that is just like the horizon line, a line that demarcates the limits of the transit area from the living and sedentary area.
Putting side by side a selection of these pictures, this new horizon line is sewn, joining the images and connecting all these different locations at the same time. Pulling this constructed horizon line and fixing it to the ground of the exhibition space, the itinerary is stopped and the journey fixed on the specific space of the exhibition.
